District Formation
Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District was officially formed on 11 October 2016 during the Telangana State reorganisation to improve administration and accelerate regional development.
Part of Nalgonda District
Before becoming an independent district, the region formed part of Nalgonda District and was known for agriculture, temples and vibrant local traditions.
Bhongir Kingdom
Bhongir Fort was built during the Western Chalukya period and later became an important military stronghold ruled by several dynasties.
